The First Pour

On the night of the May Flower Full Moon, Taste Gallery launched something entirely its own. An intimate five-course tasting experience was built around the world debut of Holy Water, a hand-crafted, alcohol-free luxury sparkling beverage made with kava, hibiscus, yuzu, damiana, and saffron, created by Anahata. Guests were received at the entrance by a towering Moonflower, a stilt-walking goddess who set the tone before a single word was spoken. Inside, a Flower Goddess guided the room through a moon bath ritual, wishing petals, and the ceremonial first pour of Holy Water. Chef HayaFare translated each of the five ingredients into a course that embodied its essential quality — grounding, awakening, clarity, connection, and transcendence — with edible flowers adorning every plate and every table, from the opening amuse-bouche soup shot to the final vegan coconut ice cream dessert. Throughout the night, surprise performances emerged across the multi-space venue — spoken word, live music, and burlesque — pulling guests into private, unexpected moments between chapters, while Anahata herself moved through the room sharing the story and intention behind her creation. Those who were there felt it. The First Pour was the beginning of something.

First Bloom

As spring awakened, we gathered to celebrate renewal, discovery, and the tender art of paying attention. First Bloom invited guests to emerge from shadow into bloom, dressed in earthy elegance and luminous renewal. The multi-course tasting was woven with live performances from our cast of creatives presenting burlesque, live music, and intimate table games that turned strangers into co-conspirators. A guest was surprised tableside with their favorite cocktail, a spirit they'd never been able to find anywhere in DC. A birthday girl received an unexpected celebration. And as dessert concluded, the elegant hanging décor transformed into a piñata release, signaling the start of the after-party.

Welcome, An Immersive Speakeasy

The gallery opened its doors for the first time. The debut event that introduced DC to Taste Gallery's signature blend of immersive dining, performance, and nightlife. Guests arrived dressed like figures from an after-hours dreamscape, ready to step into the unknown. The Culinary Circle presented a four-course tasting interwoven with surprise performances; live music, burlesque, song, dance, and audience participation that blurred the boundaries between observer and participant. After dessert, the room transformed: friends were welcomed, DJ Shilimili took over, and the celebration and complimentary bites spilled into the small hours. Welcome set the foundation for everything Taste Gallery would become — intimate, sexy, theatrical, and fun.
